Overview
In this role you provide expert security and network support on complex issues within a secure, on-site environment. You will lead technical delivery for security incidents and projects, collaborating with BT and third-party engineers to meet tight SLAs. As a subject matter expert, you’ll guide design teams and act as the operational single point of contact for customer contracts. The role supports a multi-year transformation to modernise services and strengthen cyber capability, offering meaningful impact at scale.

Responsibilities
- Act as SME across a wide range of security technologies and products
- Detect, respond to, and resolve complex security incidents and changes
- Provide 3rd line support for high-priority incidents within SLA
- Serve as the technology SME for specialised products and services
- Be the operational SPOC for design or customer contract teams
- Deliver RCAs and contribute to PIRs when required
Key requirements
- Operational experience across Network Engineering and Security Operations with strong stakeholder management
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Firewalls, Checkpoint Firewalls/IPS, F5, Cisco WSA/ESA/ISE, Ivanti Pulse VPN, switches and routers
- Certifications or relevant practical experience in the listed technologies
- Ability to lead and coordinate major/complex security and network incidents with cross-team collaboration
