Construction Manager

Overview

In Aviemore, you will lead the delivery of major electrical power distribution projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and programme adherence. You will manage site teams, subcontractors and resources, coordinating construction programmes and milestones. The role combines frontline project delivery with strong stakeholder engagement across customers, engineers and regulators. Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery of major electrical power distribution projects
• Manage site teams, subcontractors and resources to meet safety, quality and programme targets
• Develop and manage construction programmes, coordinating activities to achieve milestones
• Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements, including CDM regulations and industry standards
• Monitor progress, costs, quality and resources; provide updates to senior management and stakeholders
• Collaborate with customers, contractors, engineers and regulators to resolve issues and deliver projects

Key requirements

• Experience on DNO/electricity projects or strong HV/LV cable skills (laying, switchgear, jointing, commissioning)
• Proven track record delivering large-scale engineering, construction or power distribution projects
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and CDM regulations
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
