Overview
In this Edinburgh-based role, you lead sustainability initiatives within a design-led consultancy, driving high-profile projects and shaping sustainability services. You guide environmental assessments across the project lifecycle, coordinate client advisory and workshops, and mentor junior staff. By strengthening delivery standards and pursuing new business opportunities, you contribute to a collaborative, growth-focused sustainability practice.

Responsibilities
- Lead BREEAM and BREEAM International assessments across building projects
- Coordinate sustainability input and contribute to workshops, strategies, and design discussions
- Provide client advice and support development of sustainability strategies
- Review technical processes and improve delivery standards
- Support development of new business opportunities
- Supervise, mentor and support junior consultants while managing multiple projects
- Maintain strong technical standards and quality across projects
Key requirements
- 6+ years’ sustainability assessment experience
- BREEAM Assessor qualification and relevant project experience
- Experience managing multiple projects and supervising others
- Strong understanding of the construction process and built environment sustainability
- Excellent communication, organisational and client-facing skills
- Additional experience with Fitwel, LEED, WELL, BREEAM Domestic, Life Cycle Carbon, Circular Economy or Net Zero Carbon would be highly advantageous
