Oracle Cloud ERP Finance Technical Consultant

Overview

In this role, you will design and implement Oracle Cloud ERP Finance solutions for large-scale transformations, turning finance designs into tested, go-live-ready systems. You work inside the client’s finance function, partnering with controllers and IT to ensure the solution is robust and demonstrably correct. You own the build within a defined workstream, balancing technical depth with sound judgment in client-facing situations. You’ll help the client embrace AI-enabled delivery while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy, controls, and reporting impact.

Responsibilities

• Configure Oracle Cloud ERP Financials across core modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash Management, Tax, Intercompany) and underpinning structures
• Translate finance requirements into functional designs and build specifications for developers
• Lead data migration/conversion (FBDI, ADFdi) and manage testing, cutover, and deployment
• Develop reports in BI Publisher, OTBI, and Smart View; define integrations using OIC and REST/SOAP services
• Explain design decisions to clients and workstream leads; own scope and provide evidence for sign-off
• Contribute to sandboxed extensions where standard features fall short, using Visual Builder
• Ensure finance controls, master data, and chart-of-accounts design align with upstream reporting
• Facilitate client workshops, communicating clearly and managing expectations
• Support colleagues and mentor newer team members to reuse solutions across programmes
• Stay aligned with AI-first delivery approaches and Oracle Fusion AI features

Key requirements

• Oracle Cloud configuration depth across ERP Financials and related modules
• Hands-on experience with FCCS, EDMCS, and EPM/EPBCS
• Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud, REST and SOAP web services, and data conversion tools (FBDI, ADFdi)
• Experience with BI Publisher, OTBI, Smart View for reporting
• Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Delivery experience with end-to-end Oracle Cloud ERP finance implementations
• Professional finance or accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
