Overview

In this role you lead a portfolio of partnership clients within a forward‑thinking professional services firm, delivering a mix of compliance, advisory, and strategic planning. You will drive client relationships, oversee tax compliance delivery, and provide proactive planning and risk management. You’ll advise on BPR, SMR, transactions, and restructuring while developing junior teammates and contributing to business growth. Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of partnership clients delivering compliance, advisory and strategic planning
  • Lead client relationship management including update calls and handling tax queries
  • Coordinate with internal teams to deliver seamless compliance workflows and partnership tax returns
  • Oversee HMRC enquiries, billing, and workflow management
  • Deliver advisory work on base profit reform, salaried member rules, transactions, and restructuring
  • Develop junior team members and support business growth through knowledge sharing
  • Share technical expertise across the wider tax practice

Key requirements

  • recognised professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CTA (or equivalent)
  • significant experience with partnership clients, ideally in professional services
  • strong technical knowledge of UK partnership tax legislation
  • proven ability to manage a client portfolio and deliver advisory work
