In this role you will own the Corporate & Business Software category within a global technology procurement function. You’ll shape category strategy, lead sourcing and complex commercial negotiations with top software providers, and partner with legal, finance and tech teams to protect value and mitigate risk. You will manage high-value agreements and renewals while developing a small procurement team. Responsibilities
- Own and define the Corporate & Business Software category strategy
- Lead sourcing, supplier strategy and complex commercial negotiations for software and SaaS
- Manage high-value agreements, renewals and contractual provisions with risk controls
- Partner with legal, finance, vendor management and technology teams across the procurement lifecycle
- Lead and develop a small team of Category Managers and procurement professionals
- Prioritise activities, drive value delivery and ensure category plans align with business/technology objectives
Key requirements
- Strong experience in Technology Procurement, Software Category Management or Strategic Sourcing
- Track record of developing category strategies and negotiating complex software agreements
- Experience with major enterprise software providers (e.g., Oracle, Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow, SAP, Microsoft)
- Exposure to software licensing, SaaS agreements, contract negotiations, commercial optimisation and supplier governance
- Leadership or mentoring experience or strong leadership potential
- Ability to communicate complex commercial situations clearly and influence senior stakeholders
