Regulatory Compliance Analyst

Overview

In this role you ensure the firm operates safely within regulatory boundaries while enabling commercial growth. You lead monitoring activities, advise on safeguarding and FX regulations, and partner with the business to drive compliant outcomes. You will translate data into regulatory insights and support audits and governance processes. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced, collaborative fintech environment focused on consumer protection and accurate risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk-based testing and CMP execution to assess policy and regulatory adherence
• Perform deep-dive surveillance of client files and FX trade data for market conduct and safeguarding
• Evaluate customer journeys and product governance to ensure Consumer Duty outcomes
• Document issues, draft management reports, and drive remediation actions within timelines
• Provide proactive safeguarding and FX advisory to the business
• Answer complex queries, guide stakeholders on regulatory expectations, escalate as needed
• Support horizon scanning, regulatory research, and gap analyses for payments, FX, and Consumer Duty
• Oversee recordkeeping and evidence collection for audits

Key requirements

• Experience in a compliance, risk, or audit role within financial services
• Strong understanding of FX products and associated market risks
• Knowledge of Electronic Money, Payment Services, and Consumer Duty regulations
• Advanced analytical ability with complex data and actionable regulatory insights
• Excellent verbal and written communication; fluent in English
• Autonomy in a fast-paced environment with strong prioritization and stakeholder management
