Overview

As Principal Consultant in Solution Architecture, you lead engagements from business problem definition through solution design, development and deployment. You act as a domain thought leader, guiding architecture reviews and governance while shaping value-driven consulting solutions for global clients. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to enable scalable, cloud-enabled, mission-critical applications and drive performance improvements. This role combines technical leadership with client-facing influence to accelerate transformation in aerospace, defense, or other critical engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• anchor engagement efforts from problem definition to deployment
• guide project processes, deliverables and architecture reviews
• advise on architecture and design decisions
• lead business pursuit initiatives and client training

Key requirements

• 15+ years in solution architecture and software development
• strong hands-on .NET (C#), SQL Server, web app architecture, APIs, enterprise integration
• experience modernising and migrating legacy applications to web/cloud
• OpenShift or comparable cloud/container platforms with deployment and production support
• ability to lead senior engineering teams and provide architectural governance
• strong client-facing consulting and stakeholder management
• experience automating complex workflows and delivering efficiency improvements
• knowledge of CI/CD, IIS, source control, release management, incident resolution, and user support models
