Providing guidance and leadership to Residential Support Workers
Conducting staff supervisions
Supporting shift planning and team development
Building positive, trusting relationships with children and young people
Supporting young people with Learning Disabilities to develop independence and achieve positive outcomes
Providing personal care where required, including support with hygiene, dressing and feeding
Completing keyworking sessions
Creating, reviewing and implementing care plans and risk assessments
Maintaining accurate records and completing professional reports
Supporting young people’s educational, health and social needs
Planning and participating in activities both within the home and in the wider community
Working collaboratively with families, social workers and other professionals
Supporting budgeting, health & safety checks and general responsibilities within the home
Advocating for young people and ensuring their wishes, views and feelings remain central to their care

You must have:
A Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare / Children & Young People’s Workforce, or equivalent
Previous experience working within a children’s residential care home

A nurturing, patient and empathetic approach
