Overview

In this role you will lead delivery of construction projects for a client-facing team within a collaborative Buildings & Places PM group. You will manage projects end-to-end, build strong client relationships, and co-locate with clients to ensure high-quality service. You’ll guide multidisciplinary teams, support business development, and help drive successful outcomes for local communities. Responsibilities

  • Deliver project management services across the full life cycle
  • Co-locate with client offices to establish relationships and service quality
  • Lead construction projects from initiation to delivery using best-practice PM methodologies
  • Build positive, collaborative relationships with all stakeholders following company values
  • Interface with clients as the primary contact for service delivery and project governance
  • Oversee project accounts, governance, and resource management to ensure commercial success
  • Provide guidance and technical leadership to team members; mentor junior staff
  • Support development of new business opportunities and assist with fee proposals and bid submissions
  • Assist senior colleagues on large-scale projects and contribute to procurement planning
  • Ensure compliance with policies, toolkits, and standards
  • Support health & safety and environmental compliance on site

Key requirements

  • Degree qualification (or equivalent) preferably in a construction-related discipline (postgraduate experience)
  • Chartered membership or working towards MRICS, CIOB, MAPM or equivalent
  • Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and delivering projects via recognised PM methodologies
  • Experience delivering projects for local and central government; education and residential sectors desirable
  • Experience administering NEC and JCT contracts and advising on procurement routes
  • Strong client relationship building and business networking skills
  • Sound technical project management knowledge and ability to manage governance and budgets
  • Understanding of UK Health & Safety and Environmental legislation
  • Valid driving licence
