New & Used Car Sales Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead and develop a high-performing New & Used Car Sales team at Vertu Hyundai Dunfermline, driving sales momentum across new and used vehicles and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You’ll coach and mentor staff, uphold high customer care and compliance standards, and implement effective sales processes. The position sits under senior leadership, offering growth as the dealership undergoes transformation. You will shape a customer-centric sales culture aligned with a strong brand and corporate goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing sales team
• Drive new and used vehicle sales performance and profitability
• Coach Sales Executives to maximise results and customer satisfaction
• Manage sales processes and customer interactions
• Monitor and improve departmental performance and KPIs
• Maximise opportunities across finance, insurance, and ancillary products
• Manage sales campaigns and manufacturer initiatives
• Create a positive, customer-focused sales culture

Key requirements

• Previous Sales Manager experience within the motor retail industry
• Strong track record of increasing sales performance and profitability
• Excellent leadership and people management skills
• Experience coaching and developing successful sales teams
• Strong commercial awareness and a results-driven mindset
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to lead from the front and inspire others
• Full UK driving licence
