Responsibilities
- Develop procurement strategies for construction, infrastructure or professional services projects
- Manage tenders, including evaluation and documentation (business cases, procurement plans, contract recommendations)
- Provide commercial advice and guidance across the procurement lifecycle
- Lead elements of project delivery and engage directly with clients
- Coordinate inputs from internal specialists and support wider growth of procurement advisory function
- Present findings to clients and help build long-term relationships
Key requirements
- Strong experience in procurement within the built environment
- CIPS/ MCIPS qualification
- Ability to draft procurement strategies, tender documents and evaluation reports
- Knowledge of regulated procurement environments (Public Contracts Regulations or Utilities Contracts Regulations)
- Understanding of contract forms including NEC, JCT and FIDIC
- Comfort advising clients and guiding projects through the procurement lifecycle
