Overview

In this London-based role, you lead IFRS and J-SOX compliance across multiple markets and own financial control for designated regions. You will develop the Finance team, strengthen accounting processes and internal controls, and provide commercial insight to cross-functional partners. The position integrates with central Accounting and AP teams to drive operational excellence in a fast-paced, international environment. You’ll influence decision-making while aligning with the company’s finance and governance objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure IFRS and J-SOX compliance, including quarterly and annual reporting and disclosures
  • Own the financial control and balance sheet integrity of designated markets
  • Lead and develop Financial Accountants, providing coaching and support
  • Review and strengthen accounting processes and internal controls
  • Partner with Corporate Planning, Inventory Accuracy, Procurement, Stores, and Ecommerce teams to provide business insight and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Collaborate with and support centralised Accounting and AP teams to drive operational excellence

Key requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with significant post-qualified experience
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting
  • Excellent understanding of balance sheet and P&L accounting
  • Audit background preferred, with additional commercial/in-house experience
  • Experience leading, reviewing, and developing the work of others
  • Experience working with outsourced or shared-service finance functions is advantageous
  • Advanced Excel and ERP system knowledge
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
