Finance Analyst

Overview

In this Financial Controller role you will lead a growing finance function within a globally active architecture and design business. You will work closely with the COO and senior leadership to ensure sound reporting, forecasts, and financial insight across multiple subsidiaries. You’ll manage cash, treasury, and project financial performance while driving automation and stronger controls. This is a chance to shape finance processes during a period of international growth in a creative, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing a small finance team
• Overseeing day-to-day financial operations and month-end processes
• Producing consolidated management accounts, forecasts, and financial analysis for senior leadership
• Managing cashflow, treasury activities, and foreign currency considerations
• Monitoring WIP and project-related financial performance
• Supporting international subsidiaries with reporting, compliance, and coordination with external advisors
• Acting as the primary contact for audit, tax, payroll, and banking relationships
• Enhancing systems, controls, and processes, with a focus on automation and efficiency

Key requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong senior-level experience in an SME
• Excellent technical accounting skills and ability to present financial insights to senior stakeholders
• Solid treasury and cashflow exposure
• Hands-on, proactive, and able to improve processes
• Team management experience and Excel proficiency
