Manager, Public Sector Healthcare, Enterprise Operations Transformation

Overview

In this role you will join Deloitte’s Health Operations team to solve complex public sector challenges. You’ll work on operational and financial improvements, operating model design, and programme delivery to support NHS providers and systems. You’ll collaborate with executive teams to design principles and high-level solutions across people, data, processes and technology. The position offers exposure to high-impact transformation work within a supportive, values-driven culture that emphasises collaboration and development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cost and efficiency improvements including CIP and other cost-control initiatives
• Lead and optimise clinical and operational processes such as theatres, nurse rostering, and ED flow
• Design and implement target operating models (clinical, shared services, provider groups)
• Develop design principles and detailed designs across people, data, organisation, process and technology
• Support client leadership and governance activities; manage and mentor project teams
• Engage with Board-level and senior stakeholders to influence outcomes and navigate discussions
• Apply core consulting skills (presentation, stakeholder management, relationship building)
• Undertake multi-disciplinary project work across capability areas (operational, financial, commissioning, care pathways)

Key requirements

• NHS experience in a managerial, financial and/or clinical role with direct reports OR healthcare management consultancy background
• Experience building and leading teams; ability to multi-task within a consulting environment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and governance understanding
• Hands-on client-focussed approach to problem resolution
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to influence across multiple levels of an organisation and manage senior stakeholders
