Overview

In this role you will provide experienced electrical leadership across bp-operated fleet, ensuring safe, reliable HV marine power systems and managing OT cyber risk for vessels. You will drive OMS compliance, steer engineering projects and budgets, and represent bp in industry bodies. Your work will balance technical excellence with cross-functional collaboration to sustain asset performance and safety at sea. Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical SME support for vessels to maximise asset performance
  • Support implementation of OT cyber risk and digitalisation strategy for vessel control systems
  • Maintain OMS compliance and align procedures with bp and industry standards
  • Lead engineering projects and manage related contracts and budgets
  • Provide CMMS and IT&M assurance guidance and conduct self-verification for compliance
  • Review and approve electrical MoC submissions per OMS requirements
  • Represent bp in industry bodies and contribute to the bp Community of Practice

Key requirements

  • Marine electrical technical experience in shipping or ship construction/repair
  • HV marine/offshore power generation and distribution expertise including plant automation
  • Experience handling OT cyber risks in marine/offshore settings
  • Membership of a recognised professional body (e.g., IET, IMarEST)
  • Equivalent professional training and experience in marine electrical systems
