Senior AI Business Consultant / Product Owner

Overview

As an AI Business Consultant, you bridge business needs with technical AI capabilities, guiding advisory engagements and shaping AI strategies. You’ll work closely with AI practice colleagues to design value-driven AI solutions for clients across industries, ensuring ethical and compliant outcomes. You will lead readiness assessments, business case development, and stakeholder alignment to enable AI adoption. This role combines strategic consulting with hands-on collaboration to deliver measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed business analysis to identify AI opportunities and innovations
• Lead AI readiness assessments, use case discovery, and prioritisation workshops with clients
• Develop business cases and ROI models to support AI investments
• Define and document user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows for AI solutions
• Collaborate with technical specialists to ensure feasibility and alignment with business goals
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions and cross-functional alignment
• Support user research, prototyping, and testing to validate AI solutions in real-world contexts
• Support compliance with ethical AI principles, data privacy regulations, and public sector service standards
• Contribute to AI strategy, governance frameworks, and operating models
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients guiding them through AI transformation journeys

Key requirements

• Proven experience in a consulting or advisory role within a customer-facing environment
• Understanding of AI concepts including machine learning, natural language processing, generative AI and Agentic AI
• Advisory experience in AI such as readiness assessments, use case prioritisation, ROI modelling, ethical AI, and compliance
• Experience in product ownership or business analysis within agile delivery teams including business process analysis and ability to articulate clear, concise user stories
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation, and executive communication
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and data visualisation platforms
