MRO Maintenance Controller

Overview

In this role you lead the Apache Phase Maintenance within the BDUK Vertical Lift MRO Team, ensuring safe, on-time delivery with first-time quality. You oversee a multidisciplinary maintenance planning and control team, coordinating with stakeholders and managing emergent work and defects. The position combines hands-on leadership with compliance to regulatory and engineering instructions in a dynamic, customer-focused environment. You’ll shape maintenance execution and continuous improvement initiatives, delivering reliable aircraft readiness for the customer.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Maintenance Planning and Control Team to deliver assigned inputs
• Ensure work is performed in accordance with planned instructions, engineering instructions, or ATP
• Secure sufficient resources to meet schedule milestones and on-time completion with safety in mind
• Interface with customers during maintenance events
• Coordinate integration of additional work within the planned workload
• Perform 3rd Signature coordination of maintenance packages
• Manage defects and emergent work arising from maintenance or modification
• Create and manage metrics for check performance and report to stakeholders
• Participate in continual improvement workshops as SME
• Oversee aircraft/component log books and certification of maintenance documentation
• Schedule and chair Post-Inspection and Post-Check Reviews
• Generate BOMs for each lot of aircraft
• Provide daily progress reports to stakeholders

Key requirements

• Highly experienced in scheduled maintenance, repair and modification in an aerospace environment
• Ability to gain 3rd signature authority
• Strong communicator across functions and with customers
• Knowledge of MAA RA, MRP Part 145, QA and SMS processes and their application
• Ability to lead and maintain a scheduled plan under demanding workloads
• Ability to interpret Technical Documents, Drawings, and ATPs
• Apache experience is desirable
• Fluent written and spoken English
