Senior Commercial Account Executive / Director

Overview

In this Senior Commercial Account Executive role, you will manage the placement of largely real estate and construction risks from start to finish and steward a complex client book. You will support the developer journey through legal indemnities, rights of light, construction project cover, and post-completion real estate insurance, while moving existing business toward preferred partners. The role blends retail insurance placement with strategic book transfers to enable delegated authority. You’ll work closely with a growing broking team to drive revenue and client outcomes in a dynamic expanding firm.

Responsibilities

• Place and manage real estate and construction risk insurance from inception to completion
• Handle developer journey coverage including legal indemnities and rights of light
• Oversee renewal packs, schedules, certificates, and invoicing processes
• Coordinate book transfers to preferred partner insurers to enable Delegated Authority
• Focus on Property (Commercial/Residential), PI, Legal Indemnity, D&O and Commercial insurance requirements
• Support leadership through team guidance and collaboration with the MD and staff

Key requirements

• 7–10 years’ experience as a Senior Account Executive
• Proven track record in Property, PI, Legal Indemnity, D&O and Commercial insurance
• Experience handling both retail and some wholesale real estate related risks
• Confident user of Acturis
• Ability to contribute to business growth and book development
• Experience in managing client relationships and complex risk profiles
