Overview
In this role you will join Chadwick Nott’s client, a leading national law firm, in Exeter to support the Agriculture, Rural & Estates team. You will advise landowners, estates, farmers and agricultural businesses across a broad rural property remit, from tenancies to land sales and renewables. The role combines high-quality advisory work with client relationship development and sector engagement to support team growth and profile. You will work with respected specialists and contribute to the firm’s ambitions in the rural sector.

Responsibilities
- Advise on a broad range of rural and agricultural matters (tenancies, sales/acquisitions, estate management, renewables, environmental stewardship)
- Support senior lawyers on complex transactions and research tasks
- Deliver clear, commercially-focused advice and maintain strong client relationships
- Engage in business development and sector networking to raise the team’s profile
- Attend agricultural shows and sector events to support growth and visibility
Key requirements
- Strong experience or genuine interest in rural property, agriculture, and estates work
- Excellent drafting skills and ability to deliver clear, commercial advice
