Overview
In this role you will lead the end-to-end delivery of planning projects within a growing planning team of a leading property consultancy. You will work closely with Partners to manage client briefs, deadlines, and project programmes while applying strong technical planning knowledge. The position offers opportunities to develop client relationships, contribute to business growth, and progress toward senior leadership. You’ll influence strategy and maintain high-quality planning outputs in a multi-disciplinary setting.

Responsibilities
- Manage planning projects from inception to completion
- Provide high-quality planning advice and maintain technical knowledge
- Oversee project programmes, fees, invoicing, WIP and debtors
- Prepare project plans, fee agreements and written reports
- Support business development, work winning and marketing
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Represent clients at public meetings when required
- Mentor junior planning team members
- Oversee staff development, timesheets, CPD, and leave planning
- Quality control project outputs per QA procedures
- Collaborate across a multi-disciplinary environment
- Contribute to strategic development and growth of the planning business
Key requirements
- Chartered RTPI membership
- Experience in planning consultancy or similar environment
- Proven experience managing planning projects and client relationships
- Strong technical planning knowledge
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- Commercially focused and entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to build long-term client relationships
