Overview
In this Manufacturing Project Manager role, you drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver manufacturing objectives within the Typhoon line of business. You will oversee budget, risk, and resource planning across the project lifecycle, while embedding continuous improvement to shorten lead times and optimize throughput. You act as the key interface between Manufacturing and the wider business, shaping demand and supply with IPTs, Commercial, and Finance. This is a hands-on opportunity to influence delivery, cost efficiency, and cash flow in a high-stakes aerospace manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a cross-functional Integrated Project Team to achieve manufacturing objectives
- Manage project budgets and risk provisions across the lifecycle
- Contribute Manufacturing input to bid activities for new opportunities
- Plan resources and capacity to ensure successful product delivery and support
- Champion continuous improvement to reduce lead times, increase throughput, and cut costs
- Monitor production trends and establish early warning for delivery/quality risks
- Review labour and material expenditure against forecasts and performance
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement across the team
- Optimize WIP and stock to balance cash flow with delivery requirements
- Collaborate with IPT, Commercial, and Finance for demand & supply alignment
- Prepare and present business reports as required by IPT/area
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Key requirements
- Proven project, operational and budget management experience in manufacturing
- Experience in defence or aerospace sectors
- Knowledge of Life Cycle Management and Manufacturing Maturity Reviews
- Experience delivering operational improvements in manufacturing
- ERP (SAP) and PLM (Teamcenter Unified) experience
- Strong manufacturing supply and demand understanding
- Leadership skills to motivate and empower teams
- Ability to drive change in complex environments
- Customer focus with commercial awareness and financial acumen
- Excellent communication, emotional intelligence and cultural awareness
- Security clearance eligibility
- APM PMQ/PPQ or PRINCE2 or equivalent qualification
