Overview
In this role you will deliver memory assessments and treatment plans within the Haringey Memory Service, supporting older adults with cognitive and functional decline. You will provide clinical leadership within the memory service and work closely with the multidisciplinary team to apply evidence-based interventions. The post supports a broader Older Adult Community Services mission to deliver high-quality care close to home. This opportunity offers exposure to dementia care pathways and service development in a proactive environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide memory assessments and treatment plans for memory service patients
- Offer leadership and clinical guidance to memory service colleagues
- Apply pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions per NICE/guidelines
- Ensure timely documentation in RiO
- Collaborate with MDT to formulate treatment plans
- Coordinate physical health reviews via GP and hospital services
- Promote mental health and independence
- Provide clinical/professional leadership in the service
- Support carers/relatives within care plans
- Facilitate access to community services and liaise with Trust/external partners
- Deliver a high-quality service within resource limits
- Support non-medical colleagues to work independently
- Participate in management activities related to the post/service
- Comply with legal obligations (MHA 1983; MCA 2005)
- Ensure fair access to services for all
- Comply with reporting procedures on professional conduct/competence
Key requirements
- MBBS or equivalent
- Full GMC registration with a current licence to practise
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months
- Approved clinician status OR achievable within 3 months
- Section 12 approval OR achievable within 3 months
- Desirable: UK driving licence or evidence of alternative
- Excellent knowledge in specialty and broad clinical skills
- Strong English communication, ability to manage clinical complexity
