Overview
As an Associate in the Agriculture, Rural & Estates team, you will handle a spectrum of rural property matters for landowners and rural businesses. You’ll run your own files while supporting senior lawyers on more complex transactions, with opportunities to network and contribute to business development. The role sits in a well-regarded national firm known for its rural work, offering exposure to high‑quality matters and a collaborative environment. You will shape rural property matters from tenancies to development projects, including renewables, in a forward‑thinking practice.
Responsibilities
- Advise on agricultural tenancies and estate management
- Handle sales and acquisitions of farmland and rural property
- Counsel on land use, diversification and development projects
- Work on renewable energy initiatives within rural contexts
- Manage own matters while supporting senior colleagues on complex transactions
- Engage in client-facing activities, networking and business development initiatives
Key requirements
- Qualified solicitor with experience in real estate or property law
- Exposure to agricultural or rural matters or strong interest to develop in this area
- Confident in managing own caseload and meeting deadlines
