Duties and Responsibilities
- Carrying out research works under supervision for projects ranging from fundamental fluid dynamics and interfacial phenomena to biomedical and other applications
- Driving research activities towards defined goals in specified timeline
- Translating research to users through commercialization activities
- Processing in data analysis and management
- Drafting proposals, reports and presentations relevant to the projects
- Liaising with project collaborators and partners
- Performing various laboratory administrative duties
- Handling other relevant tasks as assigned by the supervisor(s)
Requirements
- A PhD degree in Chemical Engineering / Biomedical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Chemistry or related engineering fields
- Relevant hands-on experience in microfluidics and diagnostic tool design is highly preferred
- Fresh graduates with outstanding academic achievement and strong passion in applied research of biomedical instrumentation will also be considered as Research Assistant
- Fluent in English in both writing and verbal communications; clear and concise writing skills
- Good time management with a strong sense of responsibility and research ethics
- Self-motivated team player who can be assertive to achieve results, and able to work under pressure

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
