As an Advanced Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in care. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing and managing complex cases with a focus on safeguarding and promoting the best interests of children.
  • Providing expert guidance and support to social workers in the team, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and external agencies.
  • Conducting regular supervision and performance reviews for team members to enhance service delivery.
  • Engaging with stakeholders and representing the team at multi-agency meetings to advocate for children’s needs.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW).
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in child protection or children in care services.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory guidance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
