The practice is open to both full time and part time candidates. As a Senior Practice Accountant, you’ll enjoy a varied role across accounts, tax, bookkeeping and VAT, managing client relationships and working closely with the directors to support the running and continued growth of the business.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Practice Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing year end accounts for a range of clients.
  • Preparing tax computations and returns.
  • Supporting clients with bookkeeping and VAT requirements.
  • Managing client relationships, answering queries and providing practical advice.
  • Managing deadlines and ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.
  • Supporting the directors with the day to day running and growth of the practice.
  • Supporting junior members staff and reviewing their work as necessary.

Requirements

To be considered for this Senior Practice Accountant opportunity, you’ll have:

  • Previous experience within an accountancy practice.
  • A strong background in accounts preparation and tax.
  • A good understanding of bookkeeping and VAT.
  • Confidence managing client relationships and taking ownership of your workload.
  • A friendly, collaborative approach and an interest in contributing to a growing practice.

This opportunity could suit an experienced Senior Practice Accountant or someone ready to take the next step into a role with broader responsibility.

  • £35,000 to £50,000 depending on experience, plus benefits.
