About the team
Nottingham is seeking experienced Social Work Practitioners to join the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team, based at Loxley House.
The City MASH brings together key safeguarding partner agencies to ensure that information is shared effectively, risks are identified at the earliest opportunity, and timely and proportionate interventions are put in place to keep children and young people safe.
This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where you will work alongside professionals from Police, Health and Children’s Integrated Services, with support from partner organisations including Young Person Drug Services, Women’s Aid, Youth Justice, Housing and Probation.
About the role
- Screen contacts and referrals received by the City MASH.
- Identify and assess risks and safeguarding concerns affecting children and young people.
- Undertake appropriate enquiries and gather information from partner agencies.
- Work collaboratively with families to understand their circumstances, strengths and support needs.
- Determine the appropriate level of need and recommend proportionate next steps.
- Identify children and families who may benefit from Family Help support.
- Share information effectively with partner agencies to support safeguarding decision-making.
- Respond promptly to emerging risks and concerns.
- Contribute to timely and effective safeguarding decisions.Maintain accurate and comprehensive case records.
- Work as part of a busy, multi-agency team while also demonstrating the ability to work independently.
- Seek advice and professional guidance when required.
- Contribute positively to a supportive and collaborative team environment.
