Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Mobile PSV Field Service Technician to join a leader in the bus and coach industry, covering Scotland.

This role is a genuinely brilliant career move, with ongoing training, bonus opportunity and room to progress within the position.

You’ll be providing high-quality maintenance and repair services to a growing fleet, working independently in a field-based role. If you’ve got PSV or heavy vehicle experience and you’re ready for a mobile role with serious earning potential, this is the one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing detailed inspections and diagnostics – identifying and resolving mechanical and electrical issues, including axle and driveline repairs

  • Conducting pre-delivery inspections, routine maintenance, preventative measures, and repairs

  • Electrical fault finding – including diagnosing CAN networks

  • Diagnosing faults on HGV/PSV air systems

  • Complying with all health and safety regulations and company policies

  • Utilising diagnostic equipment and staying up to date with emerging technologies

  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections

  • Working independently in a field-based role – managing time and resources effectively

What You’ll Need

  • Proven experience as a Service Technician within the bus, coach, or heavy vehicle sector

  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle components

  • Relevant technical qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) in vehicle maintenance and repair

  • Full clean driving licence – D/PSV licence preferable

  • Willingness to travel across Scotland – and occasionally nationally/internationally for training

  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written

You’ll be a great fit if you’re self-motivated, technically strong, and want a mobile role with a market-leading employer.

What’s On Offer

  • £55,000 basic with huge OTE.

  • Branded company van + fuel card

  • 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays

  • Workplace pension plan

  • Commission structure for additional parts and service sales

  • Cycle to Work scheme

  • Employee benefits portal

  • Paid OEM training – Mercedes-Benz, Iveco, Isuzu

  • Advanced EV training and certification

  • Training with key component suppliers – Allison, ZF, Knorr-Bremse, Cummins

  • Great work-life balance and flexible working hours

Think you might be a good fit? If you’re an experienced PSV Technician with a strong work ethic and relevant skills, there’s a strong salary, on-call payments, OEM training, and a market-leading employer behind you.
