The Role
- As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will carry out care duties for patients, in support of a registered nurse, and will regularly work unsupervised.
- The post holder will carry out assigned duties to maintain hygiene, order and safety within the ward environment.
- Duties may vary with the type of ward/department and the degree of patient dependency.
In this key role, you will:
- Carry out assigned tasks to deliver and support direct patient care, under the direction of a registered nurse, to ensure delivery of a high quality of patient care
- Commitment to ongoing personal development, as identified personally or due to the needs of the services
- Participate in personal career development planning to maintain skills and develop personal growth through training and education.
- Knowledge of all relevant National and Local Policies, legislation, procedures, etc
What You’ll Bring:
- SVQ III in healthcare, or working towards, or equivalent experience working within a caring environment/role.
- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary/agency team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment.
- A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
