Job Description:

My client an international law firm are currently looking for a dynamic legal cashier to join their finance team, which is integral to the strategy and success of our firm. We are looking for a Legal Cashier to provide high-quality cashiering functions and support innovative initiatives across the firm. This role is crucial in managing financial transactions and maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Allocate and post all client funds receipts received via online banking, primarily through RBS Bankline.
  • Handle client to client transfers and investigate funds received for bills.
  • Manage payments out of all client funds, including online banking and cheque payments.
  • Take client calls for card payments and process transactions via online terminal.
  • Calculate interest, both manually and automatically, and handle foreign currency transactions via online banking.
  • Promptly address ad hoc queries from Partners, Associates, and Secretaries/PA’s.
  • Liaise with our bank to resolve any queries and manage the opening, closing, and maintenance of joint accounts.
  • Handle transactions for our offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, as well as London.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Solid legal cashiering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the SRA Rules.
  • Excellent IT skills, with a preference for experience in CMS/Aderant/Elite.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage own workload effectively while working as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with people at all levels.
  • Resilient, calm under pressure, with an adaptable and flexible approach.
  • Pro-active and initiative-taking.
