Edge View Homes is a growing organisation which promotes independence for people who live with mental health, Autism and learning disabilities to achieve a fulfilled high-quality life. With over 300 employees across eight homes across the West Midlands, the HR Team plays a crucial role in ensuring our people processes are run smoothly and efficiently throughout the employee lifecycle. We are looking to recruit a HR Administrator to strengthen the HR function to support continued organisational growth.
THE ROLE
Support the delivery of a professional customer-focussed HR service to the business in-line with legislative and regulatory requirements and HR best practice.
Key Responsibilities
HR ADMIN
- Providing general administrative support across the employee lifecycle.
- Creating, maintaining and archiving accurate individual employee records to ensure their safekeeping in-line with GDPR best practice.
- Assist with ensuring that all right-to-work and visa requirements are correctly completed and maintained in-line with Home Office regulations.
- Assist in maintaining and improving HR systems and processes for accuracy and compliance.
- Manage the probationary process.
- Develop and publish a quarterly newsletter to update staff on Edge View Homes’ news and nominations for Above and Beyond awards.
HR
- Provide first-line HR advice across the colleague life-cycle in-line with policies and procedures and HR best practice.
- Build partnering relationships with managers to assist them in dealing with colleague and performance management issues ensuring consistency and compliance across the business.
- To keep abreast of developments in employment legislation, regulatory requirements and changes in HR best practice.
- Contribute and support the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices.
- Assist HR Manager in managing the ER caseload.
RECRUITMENT & ONBOARDING
- Supporting end-to-end recruitment processes.
- Give guidance and support to managers regarding the recruitment process including reviewing job descriptions and developing adverts to attract suitable candidates.
- Coordinating onboarding and induction to ensure a positive employee experience.
- Assist in ensuring that all right-to-work and visa requirements are correctly completed and maintained in-line with Home Office regulations.
- Process DBS applications, employment references and identity verification.
PAYROLL
- Assist with the payroll process (Sage).
Role Requirements
Essential
- Strong administration skills.
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office 365.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Discretion and ability to handle sensitive information with integrity.
- A customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Flexible, adaptable and able to manage changing priorities effectively.
- Strong team player.
- Working towards, or interested in studying, for a CIPD Level 3 qualification.
Desirable
- Experience with HR administration across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and recruitment coordination.
- Exposure to HR, Payroll or Recruitment within a Care or regulated environment
- Business Admin Level 3 Qualification
- CIPD Level 3.
