Main duties of the job

Provide an efficient and friendly reception service to patients and visitors, either in person or by telephone ensuring a high quality of customer care is delivered at all times.

Provide an efficient and effective service to all service users.

Provide advice and guidance to other members of staff in relation to processes .

Departments are located in multiple sites across the Trust also incorporating the outlying resource centres and staff are required to work across all locations.

Person specification

Qualifications & Education

  • NVQ Level 2 in appropriate subject (or on pathway) or equivalent qualification / experience

Knowledge & Experience

  • Previous reception/clerical experience
  • Previous customer care experience

Skills & Abilities

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to communicate with members of the public, all staff and health care providers
  • Ability to work effectively as part of the multi-disciplinary team
  • IT skills in windows based applications
