The role and what you’ll be getting up to on a day to day basis:
At Littlefish Group, our Cyber Security Operations Centre (SOC) plays a critical role in helping customers defend against an ever-changing threat landscape. We’re looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to join the team, supporting the monitoring, investigation and response to security events across a diverse customer base.
We’re looking for individuals who already have a strong technical foundation and can demonstrate an understanding of cybersecurity principles, whether gained through a ServiceDesk, infrastructure, technicalsupport or cybersecurity role.
What you’ll be doing:
As part of our SOC team, you’ll be responsible for investigating and responding to potential cyber security threats, helping customers protect their systems, services and data. Your day-to-day activities will include:
- Monitoringandtriagingsecurityalertsacrosscustomerenvironments.
- Investigatingsuspiciousactivityandidentifyinggenuinesecurityincidents.
- Takingappropriateresponseactionsorescalatingthreatswhererequired.
- Workingcloselywithcustomersandinternalstakeholdersthroughouttheincidentlifecycle.
- Supportingvulnerabilitymanagementandthreathuntingactivities.
- Maintainingaccurateinvestigationrecordsandincidentdocumentation.
- Contributingtoserviceimprovements,knowledgearticles,operationalproceduresanddetectioncapabilities.
Weneedacandidatewith:
We’re particularly interested in hearing from candidates who can demonstrate:
- Previousexperienceina1stor2ndLineServiceDesk,infrastructuresupport,technicalsupportorcybersecurityrole.
- Anunderstandingofcybersecuritythreats,attackmethodsandincidentresponseconcepts.
- Knowledgeofserver,endpointandnetworktechnologies.
- Stronganalyticalandproblem-solvingskills,withtheabilitytoassessinformationandmakesounddecisions.
- Excellentcommunicationskillsandtheabilitytoworkeffectivelywithcustomersandcolleagues.
- Theabilitytomanagecompetingprioritiesinafast-pacedoperationalenvironment.
Itwouldbegreatifyoualsohave:
- ExperienceworkingwithinaSecurityOperationsCentre(SOC).
- ExposuretoMicrosoftSentinel,MicrosoftDefenderforEndpointorsimilarsecuritytechnologies.
- Experienceofcybersecurityincidentresponseorvulnerabilitymanagementactivities.
- SecuritycertificationssuchasSC-900,SC-200,CompTIASecurity+orequivalent.
- BasicknowledgeofKQL,PowerShellorscripting.
