About the Opportunity

A highly regarded and award-winning law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join its busy Employment and Corporate/Commercial/Banking team in Cambridge.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with previous secretarial, PA, legal support, or administrative experience who is looking to develop their career within a collaborative and supportive legal environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to fee earners and the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formatting, amending and preparing legal documents.
  • Managing diaries, scheduling meetings and coordinating appointments.
  • Processing expenses and assisting with general team administration.
  • Supporting billing activities, including preparation of WIP summaries and billing schedules.
  • Assisting with file opening, file closing and general file management.
  • Preparing both electronic and hard-copy bundles for Employment Tribunal matters.
  • Liaising with clients, barristers’ clerks and other legal professionals regarding case management and billing.
  • Preparing documentation for corporate and commercial transactions.
  • Typing correspondence, attendance notes and other legal documents.
  • Providing general PA and administrative support to fee earners.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, Secretary, PA or Administrator.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive, proactive and adaptable approach to work.
  • Experience within a legal environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
