Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to support secondary schools across the Wirral.
About the Role:
We are seeking LSAs to provide classroom and learning support to students across a range of subjects and abilities. You’ll work alongside teachers to help students engage with their learning, develop confidence, and overcome barriers to progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in lessons, 1:1 and in small groups
- Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning resources
- Help students stay focused and engaged with their learning
- Provide support to students with additional learning needs
- Encourage positive behaviour and independent learning
- Build positive relationships with students and staff
- Support interventions and targeted learning activities
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
- A genuine passion for education and supporting students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A proactive and positive attitude
- A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous experience working within a secondary school
- Experience supporting students with SEND or behavioural needs
- Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification
- Experience working in an education, youth work, sports, or childcare setting
