Facilities Assistant

Role Purpose

The Facilities Assistant is responsible for providing effective front-of-house and logistical support across the building. The role covers a broad range of facilities activities,including deliveries and post,porterage,furniture moves,stationery and consumables,and meeting and event room set-up.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics & Facilities Support

  • Sort and manage incoming and outgoing post and deliveries, ensuring items reach the appropriate destination.
  • Oversee the building loading bay.
  • Assist with small office moves and furniture movements.
  • Set up and reconfigure meeting and conference rooms as required.
  • Ensure floor hubs are appropriately stocked with stationery and consumables.
  • Undertake additional facilities and logistical tasks as required to support the needs of the role.

Customer Service & Front of House

  • Welcome visitors to site in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Notify hosts promptly when visitors arrive and ensure visitors are collected in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider STC FM Team, Front of House & Logistics Team, outsourced FM provider and Security provider.
  • Maintain the appearance and presentation of Front of House areas in line with building standards.
  • Take a proactive approach to customer service and promote excellent service standards and behaviours.

Security & Access

  • Deliver security-related services in accordance with site service level agreements.
  • Help ensure the site remains secure and safe.
  • Ensure that only authorised individuals are permitted to access the location.
  • Prepare and administer STC Security passes and manage access requests for the London office.

Health & Safety

  • Follow all relevant Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Support the orientation of new starters, ensuring they understand and observe company statutory Fire and Safety Regulations.
  • Act as a Health & Safety ambassador by promoting positive safety behaviours and practices.
  • Support the FM Team during fire and emergency evacuation procedures.

Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Experience in a logistics environment.
  • Experience working within a large, busy corporate environment.
  • Customer service experience.
  • A professional and smart appearance.
  • Good Health,Safety & Wellbeing awareness.
