Location: Uxbridge
Job Type: Part time (4 days per week) or full time (5 days)
Pay: £16.69 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and group learning support to learners aged 16-19.
- Support learners who may have experienced disengagement from education and help them re-engage positively.
- Assist tutors in the delivery of classroom activities and learning programmes.
- Encourage participation, attendance, and positive behaviour within the learning environment.
- Build positive and professional relationships with learners, acting as a mentor and role model.
- Support learners to develop confidence, resilience, communication, and employability skills.
- Support learners with social, emotional, and wellbeing needs where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with tutors, support staff, and external agencies to ensure learners receive the support they need
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience supporting young people, preferably aged 16-19.
- Be passionate about helping learners overcome barriers and achieve positive outcomes.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Be patient, empathetic, and resilient.
- Have experience in an education, training, mentoring, youth work, or support setting.
- Understand safeguarding responsibilities and the needs of vulnerable young people.
