Duties
- Lead daily activities and educational sessions, ensuring they are engaging, age-appropriate, and aligned with early childhood curriculum standards
- Observe, assess, and document each child’s progress, tailoring activities to support their developmental stages
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child’s development, milestones, and any concerns
- Organize and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development opportunities
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to childcare practices and nursery policies
Skills
- Extensive experience working with children in a childcare or nursery environment
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and best practices
- Excellent communication skills in English to liaise effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and external agencies
- Ability to motivate and inspire a team while maintaining high standards of care
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to childcare settings
