£15.97 plus £1.93 holiday pay per hour (remote option)

£17.89 plus £2.16 holiday pay per hour (Hybrid option)

Salary & Working Arrangements: £29,079 per annum for fully remote workers and £32,569 per annum for those able to spend at least 40% of their working week in the London office.

Charity People are recruiting on behalf of The Salvation Army to find them a Digital Marketing & Fundraising Assistant to join its friendly and collaborative Digital Marketing & Fundraising team on a six month temporary assignment covering a secondment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role combining digital marketing, creative design, email marketing, reporting, administration, and fundraising support. You will play an important part in helping deliver impactful campaigns that support vital work across communities.

Working closely with the Digital Marketing & Fundraising Manager and wider fundraising and marketing teams, you will support the delivery of digital campaigns, create engaging content, build emails, produce reports and provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the digital function.

This is a hands on, proactive role that would suit someone who is highly organised, confident, and creative.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build and schedule email campaigns using platforms such as Dotdigital, including dynamic content and campaign reporting
  • Create engaging digital assets, including email banners, social media graphics, digital adverts, and campaign materials using Canva
  • Support Meta advertising activity by creating creative assets and assisting with campaign reporting
  • Produce and maintain monthly and quarterly digital performance reports
  • Extract, collate and manage lead generation data, working closely with internal data teams
  • Monitor and maintain records of leads generated across digital channels
  • Support the production and distribution of the department’s newsletter
  • Coordinate supplier and agency meetings, take minutes, and circulate actions
  • Manage digital team inboxes and provide general administrative support
  • Assist the team in identifying opportunities to improve digital performance and engagement

You will bring:

  • Previous experience in a digital marketing, fundraising, or marketing support role
  • Experience building emails using Dotdigital, Mailchimp or a similar email marketing platform
  • Strong Canva and graphic design skills, with the ability to create visually engaging digital content (A vital aspect to this role)
  • Excellent written communication, proofreading and content-editing skills
  • Good Excel skills and confidence producing and interpreting reports
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently when required
  • Experience using Meta Business Manager (Desirable)
  • Experience supporting fundraising campaigns or working alongside fundraising teams

Please note that charity sector experience is not essential. We are keen to hear from candidates with strong digital marketing and creative experience from any sector.

Candidates will be asked to provide examples of previous digital design work as part of the recruitment process.
