Overview

In this role you will own and deliver enabling technology capabilities for Anduril’s Maneuver Dominance program. You’ll lead a cross-functional team across hardware, software, and systems engineering, shaping funding, development, and transition to programs. You’ll coordinate IRAD proposals, establish exit criteria, and manage risk and dependencies across mission systems, sensors, effectors, and platforms. This is a globally collaborated, highly regulated environment with a focus on timely, end-to-end delivery and impact.

Responsibilities

  • Own a capability area end-to-end including charter, budget, scope, and roadmap with an Engineering Lead as technical PI
  • Lead a cross-functional team of hardware, software, and systems engineers to exceed customer expectations
  • Develop and defend annual IRAD submissions from shaping proposals to leadership reviews
  • Define exit criteria so capabilities transition cleanly into receiving programmes and pipelines
  • Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams, stakeholders, and customers (UK focus)
  • Partner with engineering leaders to drive execution and unblock cross-team projects
  • Deeply understand mission requirements and trade-offs at interfaces between systems, sensors, effectors, and platforms
  • Coordinate hardware-in-the-loop, ground test, and live flight demonstrations on rotorcraft and UAS
  • Collaborate with US teams on a shared baseline while managing in-country elements
  • Plan across system boundaries and maintain schedule and interface commitments
  • Identify technical, programmatic, export control, and security risks, and drive mitigation to resolution
  • Foster a culture of extreme ownership and action within the team

Key requirements

  • BEng/BSc/MEng in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years in engineering, systems integration, or technical program management
  • Experience owning programs for hardware and software systems
  • Strong ability to read and interrogate technical designs and assess technical risk
  • Solid understanding of systems engineering, verification/validation for aerospace or defence
  • Experience delivering work under export control and security classifications
  • Working knowledge of UK export control and security regimes (UK Military List, SPIRE, OGELs, F680)
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance (SC)
  • Proven ability to deliver complex solutions in highly regulated environments (e.g., UK MOD)
