Main duties of the job
The main function of the post is to provide programme management overview of the projects’ construction operations and infrastructure projects relating to the following Trust’s properties:

The project schemes within these properties are complex, multi‑year delivery and directly relate to the Trust’s strategic objectives.
The post holder will be responsible for the management of a portfolio of schemes listed on the capital programme as issued by the Head of Capital Projects, from conception to post project evaluation, including the appointment and management of external consultants and contractors taking place in the above properties. These projects across these properties vary in complexity and scale to the rest of the projects in the portfolio.
It is particularly important that the current team is operating efficiently and that there is minimal duplication and/or waste in current operating procedures.

Knowledge and Qualifications
- High level of specialist knowledge in building design and construction.
- High level of specialist knowledge
- Track record of successfully implementing significant change within a complex environment
- In depth knowledge of acute hospital environments
- Knowledge and understanding of the Equality Act & Building Safety Act
- Relevant qualification to the post (degree level, engineering or construction related).
- Recognised BIM Accreditation
Experience
- Experience of working as a Senior Project / Programme Manager at a portfolio level, managing budgets and on forecast position throughout project delivery stages,
- Experience in managing BIM level 2 projects
- Experience in manag ement of larger scale / complex healthcare project
- Knowledge and experience of using different types of works contract including NEC Construction and Infrastructure contract, P23, JCT Traditional, JCT Design and Build.
- Experience of working in an NHS Construction projects role undertaking financial monitoring of a project .
- Evidence of significant achievement and success at higher levels in NHS Capital/Corporate development
- Experience and knowledge of NHS pro c edures, systems, legislation and gui dance
