Data ScientistLocation: UK Remote

• Contract: October 2026 – October 2027 (remote within the UK)
• Rate: Up to £650 per day (please include your day rate when applying)

If you’re passionate about turning messy data into trusted insights, this is a fantastic opportunity to support a long-term data programme with a reputable UK government organisation. You’ll play a key role in improving data quality, strengthening ETL pipelines and enabling reporting that stakeholders can rely on-within a secure environment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Perform data cleansing, validation and transformation across complex datasets
• Work with Oracle databases to extract data, analyse it and improve data quality
• Build, maintain and support ETL processes using DataStage (or comparable tools)
• Support analytics and reporting using Cognos Analytics and/or Planning Analytics (or similar platforms)
• Identify and resolve data quality, consistency and integrity issues
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to understand data requirements
• Support wider data transformation, migration and reporting activities
• Help ensure data processes and solutions are suitable for a secure environment

What you’ll bring:

• Strong experience across Data Science, Data Engineering or Data Analytics
• Hands-on experience with Oracle databases
• Experience with DataStage (or a comparable enterprise ETL tool)
• Experience with Cognos Analytics and/or Planning Analytics (or similar)
• Strong understanding of ETL, data cleansing, data validation and data quality practices
• Experience working with large, complex datasets
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Active MOD SC Clearance
