The role UKIE Ice Cream Demand Planning Manager is local lead role responsible to balance the triangle Cash / Cost / Service by giving correct input in demand and ensuring successful execution in market. This role is responsible for local E2E demand and supply planning process, leading local collaboration with the service provider (HUB) on short term supply and enhancing the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP / IBP) for UKIE Ice Cream business. UKIE Ice Cream Demand Planning Manager is leading the demand forecasting process and ensures alignment between commercial, supply chain, and finance teams. This role is critical in driving forecast accuracy, ensuring right service levels, optimizing inventory levels, minimizing business waste and supporting strategic decision-making to meet customer demand efficiently. This role is vital in ensuring that the company can meet customer demand efficiently while minimizing costs & cash and maximizing service levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Forecast Management: Develop and maintain accurate short-, medium-, and long-term demand forecasts using machine learning models / AI driven forecasting tools, market intelligence, and cross-functional inputs.
- S&OP Leadership: Lead the demand planning component of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring alignment across commercial, supply, and finance functions.
- Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to gather insights on promotions, product launches, and market trends. Lead the link to service provider teams for short term service as well as demand planning.
- Performance Monitoring: Track forecast accuracy and bias; implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecast reliability.
- Service and Inventory Optimization: Support inventory planning by balancing service levels, working capital, and supply constraints while minimizing business waste.
- Data & Systems: Leverage planning tools (FEU, Kinaxis) and analytics platforms to drive data-driven decisions.
- Line Management: Lead, coach, motivate, and develop your team of Demand and Response Planners (4 team members)
What you need to succeed
- Has Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Has minimum of 5-7 years of experience in demand planning and S&OP.
- Has Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP (SAP4 HANA), machine learning tools, and demand planning software/s (Kinaxis)
- Has excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Acts as a “founder/ owner” and manages business E2E
- Leverages technology actively simplifies and streamline processes and ways of working
- Able to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Languages: English mandatory
