About You
You will have:
- Strong commercial experience with modern, object-oriented PHP
- Strong hands-on experience with Laravel, including MVC, Eloquent, queues, middleware and APIs
- Excellent MySQL skills, including schema design, indexing and query optimisation
- Experience developing and supporting high-traffic, transactional web applications
- Development experience, with a strong focus on performance and reliability
- Good understanding of Git/version control, debugging and testing
- Strong knowledge of software architecture and development best practices
- Experience working in fast-paced development environments
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop and maintain scalable web applications using PHP and Laravel
- Develop and enhance core platform functionality and customer-facing features
- Optimise database performance and efficiently manage large datasets
- Work closely with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions
- Investigate and resolve production issues while improving platform resilience
- Continuously improve application performance, scalability and reliability
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services
- Develop and maintain APIs and transactional functionality
- Contribute to architectural and technical decisions across the platform
