What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Colleague Engagement Lead Manager for Communications, you’ll play a key role in delivering integrated colleague and customer communications. You will develop clear and engaging communications for colleagues and customers across a range of channels, translating business priorities and complex information into straightforward, audience‑focused content. The role involves supporting the delivery of communications plans, campaigns and strategic business activity, while working with senior leaders and subject matter experts to gather information, identify the key message and shape the right communication approach. You’ll help develop and deliver the Business Banking colleague narrative, celebrating progress, customer impact and colleague success, and support leadership communications, all‑colleague updates, campaigns and business‑wide announcements. You’ll manage communication schedules, content plans and activity trackers, coordinating stakeholder input, reviews and approvals to maintain progress and quality. In addition, you’ll support the day‑to‑day flow of customer communications, ensuring they are aligned with agreed standards, tone of voice and customer journey requirements, and help business teams create stronger, more focused briefs for Marketing and communication specialists. Working collaboratively with Marketing, Brand, Customer Journey, Digital, Product, Risk, Legal and operational teams, you’ll develop content for channels including email, intranet, presentations, articles, video, digital communications and leadership materials. You’ll monitor performance and gather feedback to understand whether communications have landed effectively, identify opportunities to improve channels, processes, content and ways of working, maintain high standards of accuracy, accessibility, consistency and attention to detail, and manage several priorities at once while responding confidently when requirements change.

  • Highly organised and attentive to detail, with the ability to manage multiple pieces of work at different stages without losing sight of the wider purpose
  • Uses feedback, insight and performance measures to evaluate effectiveness and continuously improve future activity

Feel what customers feel – We step into our customers’ shoes, using their feedback and insights to empathise with them and to understand their needs, so that every decision we make starts and finishes with our customers in mind

Say it straight – We are brave in speaking out and saying what we think – we’re honest and direct with good intent, openly sharing diverse perspectives to reach the best conclusions and using language everyone can understand

Push for better – We don’t settle for mediocrity, we challenge the status quo, taking responsibility for continuous improvement and personal development

Get it done – We prioritise what will have the greatest impact, we are decisive, and we take accountability for delivering brilliant customer outcomes
