Priory HospitalSouthampton is looking to recruit aMental Health Nurse to join theteam.
Priory Hospital Southampton,Marchwood, Southampton is a residential mental health serviceproviding acute and eating disorder care for adult males andfemales. It is accessible by public transport, with a bus stop atthe end of the access road and Totton railway station approximately5 miles away, with Redbridge station around 7 miles away. Due tothe location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability todrive is recommended.
What you’ll bedoing
In this role, you will play akey part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment anddelivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity,respect, and high standards of care.
You willwork effectively as a valued member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team,promoting the best interests of clients and their carers whileensuring prescribed nursing care is delivered safely andeffectively. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe andsupportive care environment, exercising professional accountabilityand responsibility, and using your nursing skills, knowledge andexpertise to respond effectively to changing environments. You willwork within the scope of your professional practice and maintainhigh standards of care at all times.

Whatyou’ll bring to the role
Essential for therole
- QualifiedRegistered Mental Health Nurse with active NMCregistration.
- Minimum of 6-12 monthspost-registration experience working within a mental health careenvironment.
- Good understanding of NMCguidelines, requirements and professionalstandards.
- Evidence of ongoingContinuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Excellent verbal and written communicationskills.
- Positive attitude with acommitment to change, improvement and delivering high-qualitycare.
- Ability to work flexibly and useinnovative approaches to care.
