ROLE MISSION :
Lead the product development function and drive electronic products from concept to mass production.
Act as the main technical contact for customers, turning product requirements into practical and manufacturable solutions, while guiding the engineering team to deliver reliable and competitive products.
This role reports directly to the Engineering Director.
ROLE SUMMARY :
This is a leadership role responsible for managing ODM product development from start to finish.
You will work closely with customers and internal teams, and provide technical leadership to the electronics hardware engineering team.
The role requires strong technical knowledge, good project coordination skills, and solid experience in electronic product design and development, especially in home appliances or industrial power control applications.
JOB DESCRIPTION :
Lead the design and development of electronic products for ODM projects.
Manage the full product development process from concept to mass production.
Act as the technical expert for customers and provide practical engineering solutions.
Handle component selection, schematics, circuit design, PCB layout, debugging, testing, validation, and product improvement.
Review product specifications, prototypes, test results, and technical documents.
Ensure products meet technical, safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
Work closely with the Mechanical Engineering Manager and Software Engineering Manager to support product development and project execution.
Work closely with Sales, Purchasing, QA, Manufacturing, and other internal teams.
Join regular customer conference calls to review project progress, technical issues, and development plans.
Provide technical support and problem-solving during development and production.
Drive product improvement, cost reduction, and engineering efficiency.
Support suppliers and contract manufacturers on technical matters when needed.
Lead, coach, and mentor the electronics hardware engineering team.
Report project progress, technical issues, and development plans to the Engineering Director.
IDEAL CANDIDATE :
Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
Over 10 years of relevant experience in electronic product design and development.
Strong background in product design, circuit design, product testing, and new product introduction.
Experience in home appliances or industrial power control applications is highly preferred.
Project management experience is an advantage.
Proven experience in managing engineering projects and leading a team.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
Good command of English, Chinese, and Mandarin.
Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Word.
Able to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
