Senior Management Consultant – Operations Improvement

About the Role

Our client, a distinguished management consultancy, is seeking an experienced Senior Management Consultant focused on Operations Improvement to join their team in East London . You will be responsible for driving efficiency and effectiveness for clients by analyzing and optimizing their core business operations. This role requires a hands-on approach, leveraging analytical expertise to identify bottlenecks, streamline processes, and implement best practices. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented problem-solver with a strong understanding of operational methodologies and a passion for delivering tangible improvements that enhance client performance and profitability in the Eastern Cape region.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements focused on diagnosing operational challenges and developing strategic improvement plans.
• Analyze operational processes, supply chains, and resource allocation to identify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
• Design and implement solutions to enhance operational performance, productivity, and quality.
• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting mechanisms to track progress and ensure sustained improvements.
• Collaborate closely with client teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• An MBA or relevant Master’s degree is advantageous.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations consulting, process improvement, or a similar role within industry.
• Proven track record in leading operational improvement projects and delivering measurable results.
• Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and simulation techniques.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients in East London .
