3Sixty Talent Management are recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer to join a well-established precision engineering business.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced CNC professional looking for a stable permanent role, excellent working hours and the opportunity to genuinely programme, set and operate machines rather than simply run existing programmes.

The Role
This isn’t a setter/operator-only position.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys the programming side of CNC turning and is confident writing new programmes from scratch.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Programming, setting and operating 2-axis CNC turning machines
- Writing new CNC programmes from scratch / long-hand at the machine
- Working with G-code
- Setting machines from engineering drawings through to finished components
- Selecting tooling and determining appropriate speeds, feeds and cutting conditions
- Editing and optimising existing programmes
- Producing one-off and low-to-medium volume precision components
- Working with a range of hard and soft metals
- Carrying out in-process inspection and ensuring components meet specification
- Reading engineering drawings, tolerances and surface finishes
- Maintaining high standards of quality while working with minimal supervision
What we’re looking for
You’ll ideally have:
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner / CNC Programmer
- Strong 2-axis CNC turning experience
- The ability to programme machines from scratch
- Good knowledge of G-code
- Strong engineering drawing interpretation skills
- Experience with tooling, speeds, feeds and cutting conditions
- A good understanding of tolerances and surface finishes
- Experience producing precision components
- A quality-focused and reliable approach
- The confidence to work independently
Fanuc controls and Fanuc Manual Guide i experience would be advantageous, but is not essential.
